Reiki Attunements

When attending a Reiki course the participant is attuned/initiated by a Reiki master through a simple process, this opens him/her to receive and utilize more of the Universal Life Energy. The attunements have in themselves a very powerful balancing and healing effect. Under the Usui Reiki method of natural Healing Reiki is has 3 levels: Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Master level.
Today many Reiki masters give Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 initiations in one weekend course.

During the attunement process the Reiki master acts as a mirror to help the student adjust to the Reiki energy. This energy creates an open “channel” for the cosmic or universal life energy. From the top of the persons head and through this “channel” the energy flows down through the body and back out through the hands when Reiki is “given”.

The Reiki attunement is almost always a very special spiritual experience for the receiver and sometimes also for the Master.

Reiki 1 – benefits physical body
The Reiki 1 attunement seems to mainly benefit the physical body in opening it up to channel more Reiki energy. Once attuned one will never lose the ability to use Reiki. In Reiki 1 the history of Reiki and the hand positions are taught. A Reiki attunement takes about 20-30 minutes and is a very relaxing and beneficial experience.

Reiki 2 – benefits subtle body
The Reiki 2 attunement gives an even higher possible level of energy vibrations in the student. Here one also learns more Reiki symbols these can be used to help focus energy for specific purposes. The Reiki 2 attunement seems to have the greatest effect on the subtle body also known in the western world as the Aura.

Reiki Master
For the Master attunement, one must have successfully completed levels 1 and 2 and be practicing Reiki. In this attunement the vibration level of energy is once again raised and the Master symbol is taught. To become Reiki Master one does not have to dedicate oneself to teaching others, the Reiki Master level can be taken for your own pleasure or benefit.

Reiki is a simple non invasive hands on technique, easily learned and available to anyone. The knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all living things and is connected directly to quality of health has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. Reiki connects us to this Divine Energy. Reiki activates the bodies natural ability to heal itself. Reiki energy goes to the deeper levels of a persons being, where many illnesses have their origin. It works wherever the recipient needs it most, releasing blocked energies, cleansing the body of toxins and working to create a state of balance. It reinforces the client’s ability to take responsibility for their life and help them to make the necessary changes in attitude and lifestyle to promote a happier and healthier life.

Reiki is wonderful for very deep relaxation of the mind and ushering you deep within the center of your being. When adding focused Reiki time to massage, Reiki empowers the effects of the massage, and additionally facilitates deeper and clearer communication between the numerous functions of our body, mind, and emotional energies. It helps to correct dysfunctional patterns within our biology, as well as our thought and emotional patterns.

Reiki generates deep and subtle work within your entire Being. Most often the corrected messages that it communicates holistically typically facilitates very natural, almost unnoticed changes; until, in hindsight, you just know there’s something different, maybe even more expanded and open about yourself and most definitely you will feel deep peace, and clearer in mind and heart.
